How to Send Files from Android to Mac the Easy Way

By Ben Johnson

It’s December 3rd, 2025. We landed on the moon 54 years ago, AI has taken over most of everyday life, and somehow there’s still no simple way to send files from your Pixel phone to your Mac.

Every solution out there has too much friction. If you search for file transfer options on Google, every option includes installing an app, creating an account, or starting a subscription. It doesn’t need to be like this, so I want to tell you about the solution - SpeedyShare.app

How It Works

The approach to building SpeedyShare was simple: if there’s friction, remove it. If a person wants to upload a photo from their Samsung Galaxy to their MacBook, it shouldn’t be a chore - it should be just take your phone out of your pocket and share it in 2 steps.

  1. Open SpeedyShare on your Mac - you get a QR code
  2. Scan the QR code on your phone (or head to SpeedyShare and enter the 6-digit code)

That’s it. You can share files between your devices. There’s no accounts or installs necessary.

Why This Approach Works

No friction. No app downloads, no sign-ups, no subscriptions. Just open a website and share your files.

Fast transfers. Files are uploaded to secure cloud storage and can be accessed instantly from any device with the share code.

Privacy by default. Share sessions last 30 minutes, then everything is automatically deleted. No tracking, no data collection, no keeping your files forever.

Cross-platform. Works between any devices - Android to Mac, iPhone to Windows, whatever combination you need.
